    Camp NaNoWriMo: April 2021

Good Morning, Dear Reader! Today is the last day of March. You know what that means! April is Camp NaNoWriMo for all you novelin’ fiends out there. For me, I will be putting the finishing touches on my novel Bloom in August. I have a lot ahead of me, but I’m aiming to make my word count higher, change the chronological format of the book, and do a bit of deep character development. A friend of mine, who is a beautiful photographer, lent me about five of her course books from school including The History of Photography, Classic Essays on Photography and the Photographer’s Eye. Beautiful books and a huge shout out to Rebekah Conboy! As you can see, with the shutter speed, this camera takes very clear action shots, which is just what I need for dance photography. I’ll be meeting with a couple of dancers tomorrow to see…

    Photography Journey Begins

I have been interested in photography for years and experimented a lot with whatever digital cameras I had, FlipShare cameras that I would pause and screenshot in the frame I wanted, or my cell phone. After a lot of research, I have finally made the plunge and purchased a Canon 7D Mark II. As my primary focus is dance photography, I wanted a camera with a lot of options regarding high shutter speed and could take clear images in dark spaces (I.E. Theaters, rehearsal halls, etc.)  Excited to steal my dancers and friends and experiment with my new equipment. Things I am looking into doing are: Long exposure night scenes with a…
